Project Engineer - Civil

Involved at all stages of the project from tender through design and construction and on into operation the successful candidate will, in addition to providing support and expert advice to management and other team members, be responsible for:

• Overseeing, coordinating and scheduling the efforts of Architects, Contractors and Sub Contractors
• Liaison with clients on such issues as planning and problem resolution
• Presentations of concepts and ideas to clients, potential clients and suppliers
• Drafting specifications
• Review of contract documentation

It is anticipated that candidates will have an Engineering Degree or HND in a relevant subject and to hold, or be working towards additional professional qualifications.

Knowledge of design, construction techniques and procedures gained in the rail industry or related area (Bridges, Elevated Structures or similar) is essential.

Good documentation and communication skills are required along with an independent approach and ability to identify, and then respond to emergent problems at an early stage.

At least two years or more experience in a similar role is required, although applications from individuals with relevant experience gained at a more junior level, possibly who are now looking for their first managerial appointment will be considered.
