Hybrid Power Generation
• The small multiple fuel Wankel rotary engine and FN generator fitted to each carriage provides the main on-board source of electrical power for the electric drive train.
These engines operate at a fixed generating speed (its “sweet spot”) and only when the battery requires charging.
Engine management is digitally optimised to further reduce exhaust emissions and maximise fuel efficiency.
